MEMO: Findings on Security and Foreign Policy

AUG. 8, 2024 - Center Aisle Coalition’s Summer 2024 poll of registered voters nationwide finds that many swing voters have mixed attitudes toward various areas of foreign policy. Swing voters expressed nuanced and complex attitudes toward immigration, and while they tend to agree that the US should prioritize resolving issues at home, swing voters do not support a decreased US military presence worldwide when considering the influence of other countries. Swing voters agree that trade negotiations should maximize economic value for the United States, but also express support for specific policies which would include requirements beyond economic value.
